The seven-card Horse Shoe is a convenient, basic layout that can be used to answer different types of questions, especially concerning questions where insight would be helpful. Like several other layouts, it has dominoes representing the past, present, and future.
The pinnacle of the Horse Shoe, looking like the top of the mountain, shows the obstacle or challenge that needs to be addressed and overcome. Card #6 suggests a course of action to meet this challenge. The final domino shows the outcome or future, should this advice be followed.
Other clues are provided in Cards #3 and #5, which indicate hidden or outside influences that come into play, affecting the journey to your goal.

The Past Domino represents past events that are affecting the question.
Four/Five
Your pursuits are spoiled; hopes are scattered like dust in the wind. You would be well advised to perform suppression rituals, burial rituals, or a peaceful fire ritual. Enemies wish you ill. Welcome visitors bring bad news. You have accumulated bad energies through faulty decisions, and you may need to retrace your steps to see where things went wrong.
Two/Six
The mind is clear like a bright lamp that dispels darkness. You are at a stage in which the potential for personal growth is almost unlimited. Follow your inner light, and you will know what is right for you and those around you. Allow no obstacles or faults to hinder your actions.
One/Six
This domino is like a personal visit from the chief deity governing MO divination. A visit from Manjushri himself is the most awesome sign of them all. Your goals will certainly be achieved if you heed his advice and choose to tie up loose ends. The completion of old projects that you have left unfinished will be highly beneficial. Visualising and meditating on Manjushri is highly recommended.
Two/Four
This is a bad omen of instability and obstruction. There is danger from enemies and evil spirits. A red article or triangular object you have acquired may be causing you harm. A person in the western direction may be responsible. Obstacles are blocking your success. Only evil activities have good prospects for success.
Four/Four
This is a sign of great prosperity and wealth. Resources will be vast, and things will be very good. Rituals involving earth and wealth energies and construction of stupas, shrines, and the like are beneficial. Rituals of destruction are not beneficial, and there is a possibility of delay in travel or in switching any plans.
One/Two
You will bear witness to an amazing sign. This is a sign of unification, good fortune, success, harmony, and happiness. You should continue on the same path you have been on. The prospects of this sign are not merely good, but excellent. Your life will be enriched.
Blank/One
You are standing before a blank canvas and have the freedom to choose how you fill it. New powers and energies will be available to you if you are open to them. Your choices will determine your future.
